Jury’s comments:
Sandwich Brewing Co. is a delightful exposition of modest adaptive reuse, that can motivate further main street renewal and vitality. The reimagined facade of the Brewery reinvigorates Sandwich Street’s eclectic main street using practical materials, playful geometry and scale, and a welcoming exposure of the brewery interior. The interior uses every opportunity of the existing spaces and surfaces to create a welcoming and relaxed character through exposed structural interventions and materials. The Brewery provides an example of bringing together innovative architectural thinking and practical renovation scope to create valuable contributions to our neighborhood main streets.

As one of the founders of Glos Associates Inc. and Senior Architect, Jerry oversaw the design process from beginning to end and provide insight and feedback from the wealth of his 50+ years of architectural experience. Jerry was extremely proud of his contributions to our community including the CKLW Radio Station located on Ouellette Ave and the original University of Windsor Human Kinetics Building.
